The race
The Trofeo Federico Amato, now in its seventh edition, is a road race in Gioiosa Marea that counts as the Messina provincial championship from the youngest categories to masters. It is organised by Polisportiva Europa Messina with the Gioiosa Marea AVIS blood donors on Sunday 8 November 2026: the main 7,920 m race, four laps of a circuit of about 1,980 m, starts at 10:00 together with the under-18s, after youth races from 9:20.
Assembly is from 8:30 at Circolo Roma in Via Umberto. The trophy goes to the first man and woman in the 7.9 km, and there is a separate ranking for blood donors.
