The race
The Powerade Beogradski maraton is Serbia's largest sporting event and in 2027 celebrates its 40th edition. It takes place on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April 2027 together with the European Running Championships: for the first time recreational runners race on the same course, in the same atmosphere, as Europe's elite athletes.
The programme:
- Saturday 17 April, 9:00: half marathon and half marathon relay for teams of four;
- Saturday 17 April, 18:00: 10K;
- Sunday 18 April, 8:00: marathon.
Start and finish are on Trg Republike, Republic Square in central Belgrade. The course, new since 2026, crosses the Sava, New Belgrade and Zemun and returns past Kalemegdan fortress. In 2026 more than 14,500 runners took part, 4,500 from abroad and from 79 countries, and Ethiopia's Gade Gemshise Gudeta won the marathon in a new race record of 2:09:11.
Online entries stay open until 31 March 2027; after that you can still enter at the Running EXPO from 14 April. Fees rise in tiers.
Videos
Marathon, half marathon and 10K are loops starting and finishing on Trg Republike, Republic Square. The marathon course, first used in 2026, is flat: according to the official map the altitude ranges from 69 to 135 m.
Main points of the marathon according to the 2027 map:
- down Nemanjina street and Bulevar vojvode Mišića towards the Sava;
- across the Ada Bridge (Most na Adi) around km 9;
- the wide avenues of New Belgrade, past the Belgrade Arena, as far as the Museum of Contemporary Art;
- the Zemun district with the Gardoš Tower around km 22;
- blocks 61, 62 and 63 of New Belgrade between km 29 and 31;
- back over Branko's Bridge (Brankov most) at km 37, then Kalemegdan fortress and the Victor statue at km 40 and Cara Dušana street before the finish.
The half marathon follows the first part of the course to New Belgrade and returns over Branko's Bridge; the 10K stays in the centre, between Kalemegdan, the National Assembly and Bulevar kralja Aleksandra.

Rules and requirements
Who can take part
- marathon: from 18 years;
- half marathon: from 16 years;
- 10K: from 14 years.
Runners aged 14 to 17 collect their package with a parent or guardian who signs the consent form, or with a notarised consent. The website does not mention medical certificates or licences for foreign runners.
2027 fees (in Serbian dinars, with the euro equivalent)
- marathon: from RSD 5,190 (€45) for pre-registered runners to RSD 11,790 (€100) at the Expo; from 1 September to 30 November 2026 RSD 8,190 (€70);
- half marathon: from RSD 3,990 (€35) to RSD 10,590 (€90); currently RSD 6,990 (€60);
- 10K: from RSD 3,390 (€30) to RSD 9,990 (€85); currently RSD 6,390 (€55);
- half marathon relay for teams of 4: RSD 18,780 to 25,980 (€160-220), entries opening soon.
Race package and collection
The fee includes a bib with chip, a Nike Dri-FIT T-shirt, medal, refreshments, medical support, bag drop, online diploma and insurance. Packages are collected in person only at the Running EXPO with a valid ID: nothing is handed out on race day.
Refunds and transfers
Fees are non-refundable; if the event is cancelled or postponed, entries move to the next edition. Bibs can be transferred from your account for a €5 (RSD 600) fee, and the distance can be changed by paying any difference.
