The race
The Blankeneser Heldenlauf takes place on Sunday 29 August 2027 in Blankenese, Hamburg's hilly district on the Elbe. All races start at Strandweg/Mühlenberg and finish on the Blankenese market square.
There are two half marathons: the gentler "Sutsche", with a long stretch on the Elbe beach, and the hillier "Derbe", with climbs such as the Polterberg. The programme is completed by an 11K, a 6.5K and the 6.8 km Bergziege through the stairway quarter.
