The race
The Chelmsford Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 10 October 2027 from Central Park in Chelmsford, Essex: it is one of the county's biggest running events and supports Little Havens Children's Hospice.
Both courses are accurately measured and undulating, from the park's tree-lined avenues out onto the surrounding roads; there are pacers for both distances, and the marathon, with a 6-hour cut-off, is often used as a good-for-age qualifier. On-the-day entry, subject to availability, is £60 for the marathon and £45 for the half.
