The race
The Colle San Marco Winter Trail is the winter trail race in the hills above Ascoli Piceno, organised by AVIS Ascoli Marathon as part of the Adriatic Running Series.
The 2026 edition, held on Sunday 11 January, offered a competitive 15 km race with 900 m of climbing and a non-competitive 8 km route with 300 m of climbing, with the meeting point at the Church of San Martino di Lisciano in the hamlet of Colle and the start at 9:30.
The course is fully marked, with chip timing, aid stations along the way and a pasta party at the end. For 2027 ENDU lists early January: the exact date and rules have not yet been published.
