The race
La Corsa della Bora is S1 Trail's winter trail race on the Karst plateau between Trieste and Slovenia: the 12th edition takes place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January 2027, with seven distances from 4 to 116 km and the finish at the Bora Village in PortoPiccolo. The courses change every year, and in 2027 they are all new.
On Saturday at 19:00 the two night races start from central Trieste:
- Bora Ultra, 116.2 km and 3,930 m D+
- Trieste Ultra, 61.2 km and 2,323 m D+
On Sunday everything starts from PortoPiccolo:
- TransKarst, 55 km and 1,594 m D+, at 7:00
- Borderless, 35.8 km and 787 m D+, at 9:00
- Half Trail, 23 km and 693 m D+, at 9:30 (non-competitive version at 10:00)
- Family Hike & Trail, 14.5 km, and Borin, 4 km, at 10:00
The longer races count for the UTMB Index and ITRA. The base fee is about €1 per kilometre and rises in steps towards race day; you can cancel freely up to 72 hours before, keeping a credit valid for three years. Prize-giving on Sunday from 14:00 at the Bora Village.
