The race
The Corsa di Natale is the recreational running and walking event of the Italian Red Cross, Cesena Committee, raising funds for families in financial hardship supported by the committee. It takes place on Sunday 6 December 2026, starting and finishing at the Giardini Pubblici, near the Teatro Verdi.
Participants can choose between the non-competitive 8 km run, on a mixed route through the city with a few hillside views, and the flat 3 km walk around the walls and the old town. There are no rankings: only the club or association with the most entrants across both routes receives a prize.
Course
The 3 km walk is flat and loops around the city, between the walls and the old town. The 8 km run is on a mixed route: it crosses Cesena and reaches some hillside spots close to the centre; it can also be walked, within 2 hours. Roads remain open to traffic and the Highway Code applies.
