The race
Goring Gap Trails Festival takes place over the weekend of 22–23 May 2027 at Mapledurham House, just outside Reading. It is organised by Good Running Events.
Races: half marathon (Sunday 23 May, start 10:00, £40–42), 52 km ultra (Sunday 23 May, start 08:00, £70–72, cut-off 9 h) and 50-mile ultra (Saturday 22 May, start 06:00, £80–82, cut-off 15 h).
The routes are mostly flat trails along the Thames and through the Chiltern Hills villages, using the Thames Path and the Ridgeway; they are waymarked and tracked. The half marathon has no cut-off and two support stations; the ultras are loops back to the riverside village. TRA-licensed event.
