The race
The Inferno Halbmarathon is the "devilish" mountain half marathon of the Bernese Oberland: it takes place on Saturday 21 August 2027.
It starts in Lauterbrunnen and finishes on the summit of the Schilthorn, with more than 2,000 metres of climbing in three sections: Grütschalp, Höhenlücke and the final 1,070-metre ascent. Start waves go from 9:30 and the finish closes at 15:45. There is also a three-person relay. Registration opens on 11 November 2026 at 11:11, from CHF 74.
