The race
The 21K Challenge Kalampaka – Trikala «Thanasis Stamopoulos» reaches its 18th edition on Sunday 21 March 2027. The half marathon starts at 9:30 from the central square of Kalampaka, at the foot of the Meteora rocks, and finishes in the central square of Trikala after crossing the Thessalian plain.
The course runs slightly downhill all the way, and the organisers describe it as the fastest half marathon in Greece. The time limit is 3 hours 30 minutes; the programme also includes a 5K and a 1 km kids' race.
