The race
The EDP Lisbon Half Marathon starts in the middle of the 25 de Abril Bridge, high above the Tagus, and finishes in Belém by the Jerónimos Monastery, on a course the organisers bill as one of the fastest in the world. It holds a World Athletics Elite Label, is part of the SuperHalfs series and every year brings together more than 30,000 participants across the half and its companion races, thousands of them from abroad; RTP 1 broadcasts it live.
The 2027 race is on Sunday 7 March, starting at 9:30, with a field of up to 20,000 in the half and a 3-hour time limit. The bridge can only be reached on Fertagus trains to Pragal station, free with your bib. The same weekend features the Vodafone 10K on Sunday and the Hyundai 7K on Saturday morning, designed as a last training run before the half. Race kits are collected at the Sport Expo in the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa from 4 to 6 March.

Course
All runners start on the deck of the 25 de Abril Bridge, on the Almada side, heading south to north near Gate 1; elite athletes (under 1:05 for men, 1:20 for women) start instead at Cruz Quebrada and join the field from km 7. After the bridge the course enters Lisbon and everyone finishes together on Praça do Império, in front of the Centro Cultural de Belém, a short walk from the Jerónimos Monastery.
Official aid stations are every 5 km. The course is measured by World Athletics measurers. The published track is the 2026 route.

Rules and requirements
The half is open to runners aged 18 and over, with a limit of 20,000 entrants; entries are made online on the official website and fees are set each year by the organisers (visually or mobility impaired athletes and their guides are exempt). As of 18 October 2026 the 2027 half is not yet on sale on the official platform, which already lists the Vodafone 10K (€37) and the Hyundai 7K (€15).
Start at 9:30, 3-hour time limit, after which roads reopen to traffic. The kit (technical T-shirt, bib with chip, bag) is collected at the Sport Expo in the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa on 4, 5 and 6 March 2027 from 10:00 to 20:00 with your registration receipt and ID; nothing is handed out on race day. There is no bag drop.
Entries are personal and cannot be transferred to another person or edition, except in exceptional documented cases (illness, injury, pregnancy), which allow a deferral to the following year; if the race is cancelled for force majeure the fee is not refunded. All classified finishers receive a medal; timing by My Laps chip, with amateur results on chip time.
