The race
The Madeira Island Ultra-Trail (MIUT) takes place on 24–25 April 2027 on the island of Madeira, finishing in Machico, at Praça Fórum. There are about 3,800 places, 80% by direct entry and 20% by lottery.
The MIUT Legend (110 km, +7,200 m) starts from Porto Moniz at midnight between 23 and 24 April; then come the Advanced (80 km, from São Vicente at 7:00), the Discover (56 km, from Boaventura at 9:00) and the MIUT Marathon (40 km, +1,450 m, from Monte at 11:00). On Sunday 25 the 17 km Starter leaves from Porto da Cruz.
