The race
The Maratón de Santiago takes place on Sunday 16 May 2027 in the Chilean capital, organised by Prokart with the backing of Chile's athletics federation (FEDACHI). Its three distances, the marathon, the half and the Corrida de Santiago 10K, are measured and certified by World Athletics and AIMS.
There are 11,000 places for the marathon, 16,000 for the half and 7,000 for the 10K. General sales run from 15 October 2026 to 16 April 2027, or until sold out, on the Eventrid platform, with a dedicated channel for non-resident foreigners, who pay in US dollars.
The kit is collected in person at the Expo Running in the Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, from 13 to 15 May. Runners aged 70+ have up to 350 free entries.

Course
The race is run on public roads along the World Athletics/AIMS-certified course. The detailed route, with splits, elevation and checkpoints for each distance, will be published on the website and in the Manual del Corredor.
Wave starts
Waves are assigned using a time certificate: runners who upload an official time from the last two years start in the matching wave; those without one start in the last wave of their distance. Assignments are final.

Refunds and transfers
Entries are personal and non-transferable. There are no refunds for withdrawal; refunds apply only if the event is cancelled without a new date, plus a special scheme for documented pregnancy, illness or serious injury.
