The race
The Maratona da Europa takes place in Aveiro on 24–25 April 2027: first held in 2019, it has been an official World Athletics race with a Road Race Label since 2023.
On Saturday 24 April there is the 10K along Aveiro's canals; on Sunday 25 the half marathon through the Ria and the Ílhavo coast and the marathon on the full, flat and fast course. Those who run the 10K and the marathon on both days take on the combined challenge.
