The race
The TotalEnergies Media Maratón Ciudad de Málaga is the half marathon of central Málaga, organised by Málaga Sport AD and Sport Life Ibérica with the City Council. The 2027 edition takes place on Sunday 7 March, starting at 8:15 and finishing on the Paseo del Parque.
The course is certified by the RFEA and World Athletics and runs between the port and the city's seafront promenades, from the Paseo Marítimo Antonio Machado in the west to the Paseo Marítimo Pablo Ruiz Picasso in the east. It is a fast race: the course record is Gilbert Kipkosgei's 58:27 (2025), the women's record Loice Chemnung's 1:05:46.
In 2026 the race set records for entries, female participation and foreign athletes; Kenya's Vincent Kipkorir won on his half marathon debut in 59:30.
For 2027 the 14,000 bibs are sold out: entry is via the waiting list at €70. Bibs and race bags are collected at the Feria del Corredor in the Palacio de Deportes Martín Carpena on 5 and 6 March.
