The race
The 20th Meia Maratona do Douro Vinhateiro takes place on Sunday 30 May 2027 in the Douro Valley, across the municipalities of Peso da Régua, Lamego and Armamar: it is the 20th-anniversary edition of the race billed as "the most beautiful race in the world".
The half marathon starts at 9:00 at the Bagaúste Dam and finishes on Avenida do Douro in Peso da Régua, with a 3-hour cut-off and a maximum of 8,000 runners (aged 18+). The 5 km walk starts at 9:20; the start can only be reached by the trains or buses provided by the organiser, GlobalSport.
