The race
The 28th VVO Oberelbe-Marathon takes place on Sunday 25 April 2027 along the Elbe, from Saxon Switzerland National Park to the heart of Dresden. It is organised by Oberelbe-Marathon e.V.
The marathon starts at 9:20 in Königstein, passes the sandstone formations of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, crosses Pirna and follows the Elbe cycle path to the finish in the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion. The half starts in Pirna and the 10K at the Blaues Wunder bridge. The marathon costs 80 euros until 28 February 2027.
