The race
The Padova Night Run is a 10 km evening race organised by Assindustria Sport, the club that also stages the Padova Marathon. It is non-competitive but timed, and open to everyone aged 16 and over with no medical certificate or membership needed: the only requirement is to wear a head torch for the whole run. The second edition takes place on Friday 30 October 2026, starting at 19:30 from the main avenue of the Padua Fair (Padova Hall), which is also the finish.
The route goes from the Fair to the illuminated historic centre, passing Prato della Valle, the Basilica of St Anthony and the Botanical Garden, as far as the banks of the Piovego. The first edition, on 31 October 2025, had 1,100 starters from 35 countries.

Course
The 10 km loop starts and finishes at the Padua Fair. After the first metres among the pavilions it crosses Parco Europa and runs along the Piovego on the footbridge, then enters the city via Via Altinate and reaches Via Santa Sofia. From there Via San Francesco, past the Basilica of St Anthony and the Botanical Garden, and into Prato della Valle, where according to the official map km 5 and the aid station are located.
The return leg runs through the city-centre streets, Via Umberto I, Via Roma, Piazza Cavour, Via Cavour and Piazza Garibaldi, then Porta Altinate and Piazza Eremitani; near the end it crosses the Arena Gardens, opened specially for the race, and the footbridge of the old gasworks, before heading back along the Piovego and through Parco Europa to the finish. Roads are not closed to traffic: the organisers ask runners to take care and, where possible, use pavements and cycle lanes.
