The race
The Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon takes place on Sunday 9 May 2027 in Leeds and honours former Leeds Rhinos player Rob Burrow, who had motor neurone disease: it supports the Rob Burrow Centre for MND appeal and the MND Association. The first edition drew more than 10,000 runners.
The marathon starts at 9:00 at AMT Headingley Stadium, heads north through Meanwood and around Golden Acre Park, out to Bramhope and Otley and back to the stadium. On the same day the Leeds Half Marathon, started by Jane Tomlinson in 2003, sets off at 10:00.
