The race
Run the Blades takes place from 16 to 18 July 2027 inside Whitelee Wind Farm, the UK's largest onshore wind farm, among turbines 140 metres high: it is one of the largest trail running events in the country.
The programme features the 10K on Friday at 19:30, the 50K on Saturday at 9:00 and the half marathon on Sunday at 10:00, plus a free mile for under-16s. Entries open on 30 October 2026; the half costs £27.50 to £34.
