The race
The Stracittadina Next Gen is the youth road running and race walking day of the Stracittadina Massafrese, now in its fifth edition and organised by ASD Marathon Massafra. Athletes gather at 8:00 at the public gardens on Corso Roma, and races start at 8:30 with under-16s over 3 km, followed by under-14s over 2 km, 10-year-olds over 1 km and the youngest children over 500 metres, each in both running and race walking.
The event is the provincial club championship and awards the individual under-16 provincial title. Entry is 3 euros per athlete and is made through clubs on the FIDAL portal.
