The race
The Stracivitanova reaches its 51st edition on Sunday 14 March 2027 in Civitanova Marche. It is organised by Atletica Civitanova with the town council, under the FIDAL umbrella, and the main race is the 17th Banco Marchigiano Half Marathon, a national-level (Silver) competitive half marathon on a category A certified course.
Runners gather at 8:00 in Piazza XX Settembre and start at 9:30 in the town centre. Alongside the 21.097 km there is a 10.5 km non-competitive run, chip-timed with times published in alphabetical order, and the StraFamily for families. The half costs €21 until 31 December 2026, €26 until 28 February and €31 in the final days; the 10.5 km costs €13 and the StraFamily €8.
Bibs and race packs are collected at the Stracivitanova Village in Piazza XX Settembre on Saturday 13 March and on Sunday morning. The time limit is 2 hours 30 minutes, and the course records belong to Pietro Riva (1:02:47) and Elvanie Nimbona (1:11:24). At the end of the day race photos are free, offered by Atletica Civitanova: a selfie is all you need to find yours.

Course
Runners gather in Piazza XX Settembre in the centre of Civitanova Marche and start at 9:30 (from Corso Umberto I according to the website, from Piazza XX Settembre according to the rules). The half marathon is run on a FIDAL category A certified course. There are aid stations every 5 km and at the finish, with water and electrolytes, and medical assistance with fixed posts, first aid in the finish area, a doctor on a motorbike and a sweep service for runners who drop out.
Entering the course by bike or other vehicle without authorisation is forbidden. The 2027 course map has not been published yet.

Rules and requirements
- FIDAL membersMembers of an Italian athletics club (Italian Athletics Federation).
- RuncardFIDAL card for runners without a club: buy it online and pair it with a competitive athletics medical certificate.
- Sports promotion bodiesMembers of an Italian sports promotion body recognised by FIDAL, with a competitive medical certificate.
- International runnersMembers of a federation affiliated to World Athletics, or with a Runcard and a competitive medical certificate.
Competitive half marathon from age 18 for 2027 FIDAL members and from 20 for Runcard or Runcard EPS holders, with a competitive medical certificate for athletics. Athletes not registered in Italy take part from age 20 with a licence from a club in a World Athletics-recognised federation (or a self-declaration) or with a Runcard and medical certificate.
Unlicensed foreigners living abroad can run the half on a non-competitive basis by signing a waiver. The 10.5 km fun run is open from age 16 with no certificate, the StraFamily to everyone. Entries for the half and the 10.5 km online at icron.it, sending the payment receipt; for the StraFamily at the Atletica Civitanova office, at the village on 13 March or on race morning until 8:45.
Fees: half €21 by 31 December 2026, €26 from 1 January to 28 February 2027, €31 from 1 to 9 March; 10.5 km €13; StraFamily €8. Fees are never refunded, but can be moved to the 2028 edition. ICRON chip timing.
Time limit 2h30. Prize money for the top five men and women overall (€500 down to €80) and the top five Italians (€150 down to €50), with €200 extra for a new course record; FIDAL category prizes and prizes in kind for groups.
