The race
The Big Pilgrimage takes place on Sunday 22 August 2027, starting from Mayflower Park in Southampton: a point-to-point mixed-terrain race by BigFeat along the first part of 'The Old Way', an ancient pilgrim route from Southampton to Canterbury rediscovered on the Gough Map of around 1360.
There are a marathon (first wave at 7:20) and a 15-mile race (from 7:50). The route passes Netley Castle, Netley Abbey and Titchfield Abbey, with a sticker collected at each, and crosses the River Hamble by boat.
