The race

The WLR Waterford Viking Marathon reaches its 15th edition over the weekend of 19 and 20 June 2027 in Waterford, Ireland's oldest city, founded by the Vikings in 914.

The festival has five events across two days: the marathon, half marathon and 10 km, plus a disability-friendly run and a children's run. The start is on The Mall; entry prices are frozen for 2027 and numbers are limited.
