The race
The Synlab Lake Como Half Marathon, organised by A.S.D. Aries Como Athletic Team, takes place on Sunday 6 December 2026, starting at 8:30 from the park of Villa Olmo, where the finish is too, in front of the neoclassical villa designed by Simone Cantoni. It is a FIDAL-certified half marathon along the western shore of the lake: from Como to Cernobbio, Moltrasio and Carate Urio, turning at Laglio, the village known for George Clooney's villa, and back on the same road.
The course is rolling, with a few climbs that make chasing a personal best harder but offer constant views of the lake. At 8:40 the 5k Fast starts, a quick race with a turnaround at km 2.5. Half marathon fees range from 20 to 40 euros (5k from 13 to 20 euros), with race pack, gadget and finisher medal; entries are capped at 1,300. Proceeds from charity bibs go to the Tangram Onlus association.

Course
Start and finish in the park of Villa Olmo, Como. The half marathon is an out-and-back route on paved municipal and provincial roads along the western shore of the lake: from Como to Cernobbio, past Villa Erba, then through the villages of Moltrasio and Carate Urio to the turnaround, a few metres into the municipality of Laglio, and back on the same road.
The Cernobbio (Pizzo)–Carate Urio–Laglio section is fully or partly closed to traffic; on the way out you run with the lake on your right, on the way back with the lake on your left, and there is security staff where there is no pavement. The course is rolling, with some climbs. Aid stations along the route and a final refreshment area at Villa Olmo.
The 5k Fast also starts from Villa Olmo, is fast and turns at km 2.5. The official website offers the course track as a KMZ file.
