The race
The Stragardalake takes place on Sunday 10 January 2027 in Desenzano del Garda, starting and finishing on Lungolago Cesare Battisti, opposite Piazza Matteotti. There are three distances: the FIDAL-certified competitive 21 km, the 10 km (competitive and non-competitive) and the non-competitive 19 km, with an overall cap of 3,000 participants.
The courses climb from the lake through the Lugana vineyards and the Morainic Hills, scene of the 1859 battle, pass the San Martino Tower and return to Desenzano along the lakeside promenade at water level, past the Rivoltella harbour, Spiaggia d'Oro and the Idroscalo park. Food & Music areas along the route offer local specialities and live music, and a party awaits at the finish.
Fees rise with entry tiers: currently €40 for the 21 km, €36 for the 19 km and €30 for the 10 km, including a technical shirt, medal, certificate, bag drop and showers. The half marathon has prize money for the top three men and women, plus rankings for clubs, companies (Team Business) and costumed groups (Team Fun).
