The race

The Corri alla Garbatella is the race of Rome's Garbatella district, first held in 1986: the 32nd edition takes place on Sunday 22 November 2026, with start and meeting point at Viale Guglielmo Massaia 31, in Municipio VIII. At 9:00 children up to age 10 run «Corri forte, Cresci bene», about 650 metres and free of charge; at 9:30 the competitive 9.8 km race starts together with the non-competitive event, at your own pace, over 9.8 or 4.9 km.

The route winds through the district's historic streets over several laps. The event is organised by the Associazione Culturale e Sportiva Rione Garbatella with ASD ACSI Futuratletica, under the aegis of FIDAL. Entry costs €15 until 10 November and €20 until 17 November, capped at 1,000 participants, and includes timing, refreshments, bag drop, Red Cross medical cover and a gadget.

It is a neighbourhood celebration combining sport and solidarity: donations from the children's race go to the charities Amare l'India and CMV Amici Giovanni Nigro.

Course

Start and finish at Viale Guglielmo Massaia 31, in the heart of Garbatella. The race is run on a circuit repeated through the district's historic streets; the 4.9 km event is half the competitive distance. The organisers have not yet published the 2026 course map, which the rules say will appear on the official website.

The surface is asphalt, possibly with some cobblestone sections. There is a single water station at the end of the first lap, plus refreshments at the finish.
