The race
The Latina Marathon, founded in 1998 by UISP and the city council, celebrates its 25th edition on Sunday 6 December 2026, looking ahead to the centenary of this 20th-century new town. All races start together at 9:00 from Piazza San Marco: the marathon, the «Relay Feel Good» in two 21.097 km legs and the competitive 9.9 km.
The course combines a first loop through the rationalist centre, past Piazza della Libertà, Piazzale dei Bonificatori and Corso della Repubblica, with a long stretch towards the sea along the seafront road and the coast road to Borgo Grappa. Fees are low, from €25 to €55 for the marathon and €10-12 for the 9.9 km. The race motto is «Victory is the finish line»: the time limit is 6 hours, but later finishers are still ranked, and there is even a prize for the last man and woman. Services include pacers, showers, massages and a final pasta party.
Course
Start and finish in Piazza San Marco. The 2026 course first loops through central Latina along Corso della Repubblica, Viale XXI Aprile, Viale dello Statuto, Via Spinelli by the Falcone e Borsellino park, Piazza della Libertà, Via Don Morosini, Via Oberdan, Piazzale dei Bonificatori, Via Duca del Mare, Via Garibaldi and Via Pio VI.
It returns to Piazza San Marco and sets off again via Viale Lamarmora, Via Volturno, Via Sant'Agostino and Via del Lido, then Viale Pennacchi and the seafront road to Borgo Grappa and the coast road, a section run twice. The return goes via Via Isonzo, Via Marconi and Corso della Repubblica to the finish. Flat and asphalt; drinks and sponges on the course and at the finish.
