The race

It is a competitive 9.5 km race with a non-competitive event over the same distance, drawing thousands of participants, from champions to families.
The course crosses the historic centre: Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Largo di Torre Argentina, the Theatre of Marcellus, the Circus Maximus, the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Piazza Venezia, Via del Corso and Piazza del Popolo, returning via the Tiber and Piazza Cavour. Run in the Salesian educational spirit, every year it supports a Missioni Don Bosco charity project: in 2026, four drinking-water wells in the Republic of the Congo.
Fees range from €20 to €30 plus admin fees, with a cap of 5,000 entrants; the race pack includes a bag and the official shirt, and finishers receive a medal.
