The race
Il-Ġirja t'Għawdex, Gozo's longest-running road race (first run in 1977), reaches its 52nd edition on Sunday 25 April 2027. It is organised by Run Gozo, a non-profit volunteer team based at the Xagħra Youth Centre: eight start lines on the same morning and a single finish in Xagħra Square.
The half marathon starts at 7:30, the 10K at 7:40 and the 5K at 8:00; there are also 10 and 5 km walks and family and kids' races. Half marathon fees range from €35 to €60 and include a technical shirt, medal and free shuttle buses on the island.
