The race
The Lagoon Run is a non-competitive run of about 11 km in the northern Venetian Lagoon, organised by the Litorale Runner association in Cavallino-Treporti. The 10th edition takes place on Sunday 1 November 2026, starting at 10:00 from Prà di Saccagnana in Treporti, which is also the finish.
The route, on asphalt and dirt, follows the canal embankments to Lio Piccolo; for the occasion some fish farms open their gates, and along the way you may spot pink flamingos and herons. You can run or walk: there are no rankings or timing.
Entry costs €12 and includes the 10th-anniversary shirt. In 2025 there were 700 entrants; for 2026 the official website lists entries as sold out.
Course
The course of about 11 km starts and finishes at Prà di Saccagnana and runs along the roads of Saccagnana and Lio Piccolo.
It is on asphalt and dirt, along the canal embankments of the Northern Lagoon, also crossing fish farms normally closed to the public. The route is marked with kilometre signs and staffed by volunteers; there are three aid stations, including the one at the finish.

Rules and requirements
Participation
- non-competitive recreational run, with no rankings or timing
- open to anyone aged 14 and over; minors need a parent's authorisation
- no competitive medical certificate required
Entry
The fee is €12 and includes bib or wristband, anniversary shirt, aid stations on the course and at the finish, and medical assistance. Entries are online at litoralerunner.it or at the outlets indicated by the organisers; for 2026 entries are sold out.
