The race
The Marathon Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is the nature marathon of Zeelandic Flanders: the 17th running edition is on Saturday 10 April 2027, on a weekend that also includes the walking marathon on Sunday 11 April.
The direction changes every year: in 2027 the race runs from Terneuzen to Hulst, starting at 11:00 on the Markt in Terneuzen. It begins along the Western Scheldt and about a third of the route is on unpaved roads through nature areas. There is also a relay. Registration opens on 1 November 2026.
