The race
The Naturosa Catania Marathon returns on Sunday 13 December 2026 for its ninth edition, organised by Atletica Sicilia under FIDAL rules. The village and start are at the Playa of Catania, on Viale Kennedy by the Lido Verde, and the whole course runs along the flat seafront, with the sea on one side and Mount Etna in the background.
There are three distances: the marathon and the 10.5 km start at 9:00, the half at 10:30. The course is a seafront loop run several times: four laps for the marathon, two for the half, one for the 10.5 km. It suits both those chasing a personal best and first-time marathoners, with a 6-hour time limit.
Fees are modest, from €30 to €50 for the marathon and €20 to €30 for the half, with the shirt included for early entrants. On Saturday bibs are collected at a sports shop in town; on Sunday morning only for those coming from outside the city.
