The race
The Neujahrsmarathon Zürich is run as the new year begins: marathon, half, quarter marathon and Team Run all start at midnight on 1 January 2027.
Start and finish are at the Sporthalle Unterrohr in Schlieren. The course is a 10.55 km lap measured to World Athletics standards, 90% on unpaved paths and unlit, so a head torch is recommended. The finish closes at 5:00 and places are limited.
