The race
The OCHSNER SPORT Zürich Marathon is Zürich's marathon: the 24th edition takes place on Sunday 11 April 2027, together with the 7th half marathon and the 15th On Z10, the 10K. All three races start on the Quaibrücke and finish on Sechseläutenplatz.
The marathon starts at 8:00 and follows the lakeshore out to Meilen, where it turns back towards the city: the course is very flat and measured to AIMS standards, and the organisers say 70% of runners set a personal best here. The half marathon starts at 13:15 and the On Z10 at 16:00.
There are 23,000 places in total: the 2027 marathon and half marathon are already sold out with no waiting list, while On Z10 entries are still open on GoActive. The fee includes an On shirt, the medal, a chipped bib, pacers and free public transport. Bibs are collected during Runners Week, 6-10 April, at the OCHSNER SPORT Pro store near the main station.
Videos
All races start on the Quaibrücke and finish on Sechseläutenplatz. The courses are very flat and measured to AIMS standards; roadworks in the city may cause small changes, which will be announced later.
Marathon
After a loop through the city on the west bank, towards Enge and Wollishofen, the marathon follows the east shore of the lake through Zollikon, Küsnacht, Erlenbach and Herrliberg to the turning point in Meilen, then heads back to the centre.
- Cut-off: runners who do not reach the Meilen turn by 11:10 must hand in their bib and chip
- Split times at km 10, 20, 21.1, 30 and 40
Half marathon and On Z10
The half marathon runs through the city and then along the east shore to around Küsnacht before returning to Sechseläutenplatz. The On Z10 stays in the city centre, on both sides of the lake.

Rules and requirements
Who can take part
- Marathon: from 18 years
- Half marathon and On Z10: from 16 years
- No medical certificate is needed: by entering you declare that you are healthy and trained, and you automatically become a free Running Member of Swiss Athletics
- No wheelchair or stroller categories, no bikes or dogs
Places and fees
There are 23,000 places in total, and entry is online only via GoActive. Fees rise in tiers of places: marathon CHF 139, 149 and 159, half CHF 99, 119 and 129, On Z10 CHF 89, 99 and 115 (VAT included). The 2027 marathon and half are sold out with no waiting list.

Bibs, refunds and transfers
Bibs are collected only during Runners Week (6-10 April 2027) at OCHSNER SPORT Pro, with ID and the Race-Mail; there is a last-minute pick-up on Sunday from 6:00 to 7:30. Fees are not refundable, except for runners who bought the optional cancellation cover (illness or injury, with a medical certificate within 10 days of the race). Bibs cannot be transferred; you can switch distance until 5 March 2027 if places are available. Swiss Olympic anti-doping rules apply.
