The race
The Ölands Marathon takes place on Saturday 7 August 2027 in Löttorp, in the north of the island of Öland, starting and finishing on the square (Torget) at 14:00. It is a fast, very flat marathon run entirely on asphalt, with the island of Blå Jungfrun on the horizon.
After a 2.1 km loop in the village, runners cover an 11.2 km loop (Löttorp – Alvedsjö – Kalmarsund – Gudesjö – Löttorp), alternating the two three times to reach 42.195 km; the course is measured by a federation measurer. Three drink stations per lap.
