The race
The Padenghe Half Marathon, organised by Atletica Vighenzi Padenghe, celebrates its 18th edition, the Dante Santoro Memorial, on Sunday 1 November 2026 on the Brescia shore of Lake Garda. Starts are in Via Verdi and separate: women at 9:00, men at 9:40, with the finish at Padenghe town hall; it is a national FIDAL race on a certified course and counts as the 4th round of the national club road-running championship (CDS).
The route drops from the Padenghe hills towards Maguzzano and Desenzano del Garda, touches the lakefront and returns through the Valtenesi. At 9:50 the 9K starts, competitive or recreational, and on Saturday 31 October there is the 5 km charity walk «Io, tu, AIL & ABE». Half marathon fees range from 28 to 38 euros with T-shirt and medal, or 20 euros without race pack; the 9K costs 15 euros (10 non-competitive). Prize vouchers up to 500 euros for the top ten, showers, a supervised bag drop and four aid stations on the course.
Course
Start in Via Verdi in Padenghe sul Garda (women at 9:00, men at 9:40) and finish at the town hall. According to the track published by the organisers on Komoot, the route leaves Padenghe via Via Vighenzi, passes Maguzzano (Lonato del Garda) and Località Massadrino, reaches Desenzano del Garda along Via Valtenesi and touches the Lungolago Cesare Battisti, then returns via Via Vo' and Via Valtenesi to Padenghe, finishing along Via Marconi and Via Pergola.
The website describes it as a course «on the hills of Lake Garda», so rolling; it is FIDAL-certified. There are four aid stations and three sponge points along the way and a large refreshment area at the finish. The 9K starts at 9:50, also from Via Verdi, and finishes at the town hall on a non-certified course. Time limit 2h30' for the half and 1h30' for the 9K.
