The race
The Palio Fiorentino, now in its 24th edition, is the 10K of Sesto Fiorentino organised by G.S. Il Fiorino: a traffic-free city circuit, FIDAL-certified and compliant with World Athletics rules, with a short first lap followed by four 2,180-metre laps around Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The national FIDAL race starts at 10:30 in a single wave; at 9:00 there is an open race for UISP, sports-promotion and Runcard members. The course record is under 30 minutes.
