The race
Ponente Sprint is a youth biathlon organised by ASD Scicli Running in Donnalucata, now in its second edition, combining a short sprint with a vortex throw. It takes place on an asphalt loop at the athletics ground on Via Trinità: after the 9:00 gathering, the vortex starts at 9:30, followed by the running races, from 50 metres for four-year-olds up to 400 metres for under-14 boys and girls.
Entry costs 4.50 euros per athlete for both events and must be made by clubs by email by 25 November; every child receives a participation medal.
