The race
The 23rd Half Marathon Mazara takes place on Sunday 29 November 2026 in Mazara del Vallo, organised by ASD G.S. Atletica Mazara, which carries on the Maratonina di Sicilia first held in 1992. It is a FIDAL Bronze-level national race and the regional Master half marathon championship, for individuals and clubs.
The start is at 9:30 on Lungomare Mazzini, near the steps of Piazza Mokarta, on a certified city loop closed to traffic and run three times, between the San Vito seafront, Corso Umberto and the canal harbour. The same morning features the 10th Podistica Mazara over 7 km, a stage of the provincial Grand Prix and the Biorace circuit, and the Walkathon, a non-competitive 7 km walk.
Half marathon fees range from €15 to €30; the package with race pack includes a roll-top backpack and every finisher gets a medal. The time limit is 2 hours 45 minutes.
