The race
The Trail dello Sciamano is a semi-self-sufficient trail race organised by ASD Gruppo Podistico Gargagnago with ASD Banchette Runners as part of the ValpoRun circuit in Valpolicella. The 6th edition takes place on Sunday 22 November 2026, starting and finishing at the sports grounds of Cavalo di Fumane (Verona), where the meeting point opens at 6:00.
There are two competitive races, both starting at 7:00: the Ultra of 45 km with 1,800 m of elevation gain and the Classic of 30 km with 1,400 m. At 8:30 the Basic routes start, non-competitive and open to all, of 10 km (240 m D+) and 20 km (770 m D+). The fee includes a race pack, pasta party, aid stations, bag drop, photo service, massages and showers.
Course
All routes start and finish at the Cavalo di Fumane sports grounds. The Ultra is 45 km with 1,800 m of elevation gain, the Classic 30 km with 1,400 m, the Basic routes 10 km with 240 m and 20 km with 770 m. The race is semi-self-sufficient: there are aid stations, but runners must carry enough water and food between them.
The Ultra has two cut-offs: 9:00 at km 12.8 (Breonio aid station) and 11:45 at km 30 (Molina); runners who miss them may continue only on the Classic route.
