The race
The Città di Vercelli Half Marathon is the half marathon of Vercelli, organised by ASD Circuito Running and ASD Lago d'Orta Sports & Events. The 2027 edition takes place on Sunday 28 February.
The 21.097 km half is a FIDAL National Bronze race, also open to foreign athletes. Alongside it run the VHM 21 km E.P.S., a non-competitive half, and the VHM 10 km, non-competitive and open to everyone.
The start is on Corso Libertà: at 9:30 for the half and the 21 km E.P.S., at 9:45 for the 10 km. The course is fully paved and flat, with a time limit of 2 hours 30 minutes.

The half marathon course is fully paved and flat, on roads closed to traffic or controlled depending on the area. The start is on Corso Libertà.
The time limit is 2 hours 30 minutes: after that, road closures and assistance are no longer guaranteed. The official website shows a 3D video of the 2025 course.

Rules and requirements
- FIDAL membersMembers of an Italian athletics club (Italian Athletics Federation).
- RuncardFIDAL card for runners without a club: buy it online and pair it with a competitive athletics medical certificate.
- Sports promotion bodiesMembers of an Italian sports promotion body recognised by FIDAL, with a competitive medical certificate.
- International runnersMembers of a federation affiliated to World Athletics, or with a Runcard and a competitive medical certificate.
Who can enter the FIDAL half marathon
- FIDAL members in the Junior, Promise, Senior and Master categories;
- members of affiliated promotion bodies with Runcard-EPS and a competitive medical certificate;
- Runcard holders aged 20 and over, with a competitive medical certificate for athletics;
- foreign athletes registered with World Athletics member federations.
Only certificates stating athletics (atletica leggera) are accepted. The VHM 21 km E.P.S. is open to everyone aged 18 and over, still with a competitive athletics certificate (foreign runners can self-certify). The VHM 10 km is open to everyone from 16 and needs no certificate.
Fees for the half and the 21 km E.P.S.
- €25 until 1 November 2026;
- €30 from 2 November 2026 to 3 January 2027;
- €35 from 4 January to 25 February 2027;
- €40 on race day.
Fees for the 10 km
- €12 until 3 January 2027;
- €15 until 25 February 2027;
- €20 on race day.
Online entries on iRunning close on Thursday 25 February 2027 at midnight; after that you can enter on site at a higher fee. FIDAL clubs get one free entry for every 10 paid.
What the half marathon entry includes
- bib with iRunning chip;
- technical shirt guaranteed for entries by 3 January 2027;
- finisher medal;
- refreshments along the course and at the finish;
- insurance and medical assistance.
Bibs and race packs are collected at Sala Borsa, Piazza Risorgimento, on Sunday from 7:30 to 9:00. Headphones are banned, as are pushchairs and animals. Fees are not refundable.
