The race
The Fiumicino Half Marathon, organised by Isola Sacra A.S.C.D., celebrates its 23rd edition on Sunday 29 November 2026. It is a FIDAL-certified national half marathon, valid as the FIDAL Lazio regional championship, with a competitive and a non-competitive race of about 10 km (9.98 km) starting together at 8:45 from Viale Danubio, in front of the PalaFersini sports hall.
The course is flat and fully paved: it takes in the Lungomare della Salute seafront, Via della Scafa along the Fiumara and the streets of Isola Sacra down to the mouth of the Tiber. Fees are low, €20 for the half and €15 for the 10 km until 23 November. The race pack has a local touch: a technical shirt for the first 1,500 entrants and then three litres of wine, a medal for the first 1,400 finishers and then a bottle.
The race is part of the Città di Fiumicino Porta di Roma series with the Corri Fregene and the Da Vinci Run, and GOTsportPhoto photographers shoot along the course.
Course
Start and finish on Viale Danubio, in front of the PalaFersini. The first loop, which makes up the 10 km (9.98 km), heads north via Via Trincea delle Frasche, Via Coni Zugna and Via della Scafa along the canal, passes Via Fiumara, runs down the Lungomare della Salute and returns through the town centre to the finish arch. The half marathon continues with a second loop to the south, via Via Trincea delle Frasche, Via della Scafa, Via Costalunga and Via del Faro, skirting the mouth of the Tiber before heading back to the finish.
The course is flat and paved, with three aid stations on course and one at the finish. There is a cut-off: runners passing the km 9.98 arch after 9:55 cannot continue on the half, and the time limit follows the 7 min/km pace of the sweep vehicle.
