The race
The MezzaCiocia...ra, Frosinone's half marathon, reaches its 11th edition on Sunday 31 January 2027, organised by ASD Endurance Training under the FIDAL umbrella with technical support from AICS. Runners meet at 7:30 at Parco Matusa, where both races start and finish: the half marathon at 9:00, in the FIDAL calendar on a certified course and valid as the regional half marathon championship, and the 9.6 km short race, an AICS competitive event, at 9:10; there is also a non-competitive walk.
The course, closed to traffic for the city's car-free day, winds through the lower part of town and is almost flat, with about 125 m of climbing. Fees are low: €12 to €30 for the half and €9 to €15 for the 9.6 km, depending on the number of entrants, up to a maximum of 1,000. Music and folk groups along the route, pacers, massages and a generous pasta party at the finish; part of the fees goes to the Telethon Foundation.
Course
Start and finish at Parco Matusa in Frosinone. The course, fully closed to traffic, winds through the lower part of the city on asphalt; it is mostly flat with a few gentle undulations, about 125 m of elevation gain on the half and 126 m on the short race, between 163 and 198 m above sea level. The half marathon course is FIDAL-certified.
The website publishes GPX tracks, maps and elevation profiles for both races, but not a list of streets. Drink stations offer water, electrolytes, gels and fruit, with bands and folk groups along the way; at km 13, runners passing after 1 h 35 are asked to stop.
