The race
Since 1980 the Maratonina dei 3 Comuni has linked Civita Castellana, Nepi and Castel Sant'Elia, three Tuscia towns on the Via Flaminia, and it is known as "the queen of winter races", drawing over 2,200 runners in recent editions. Start and finish are in Civita Castellana, near the Forte Sangallo, and the course crosses the historic centres with a mix of ups and downs and flat stretches.
The 2027 edition is announced on ENDU for late January, but the exact date, start time, distance and fees have not yet been published. Listed services include a race pack, finisher medal, chip timing, aid stations and a photo service. In 2027 Civita Castellana is also a European Town of Sport.
Course
Start and finish in Civita Castellana, near the Forte Sangallo; the route passes through the towns of Nepi and Castel Sant'Elia, alternating climbs and descents with flat sections. The organisers have not yet published the 2027 map, exact distance or aid station locations.
Rules and requirements
The 2027 rules have not yet been published. Entries go through the ENDU platform; according to the event page, participation includes race pack, finisher medal, chip timing, aid stations and photos. Requirements, fees, deadlines and time limit will be announced by the organisers, including on the race's Instagram profile.
