The race
The Giro dei Gessi is a historic race of Cesena's running scene, crossing the hills of Cesena and the gypsum outcrops that give it its name. The 49th edition takes place on Sunday 1 November 2026, again with start and finish at the Ippodromo del Savio racecourse.
The competitive race of about 17 km starts at 9:30, with the meeting point open from 7:30. The same morning there are non-competitive runs of 31 km (new in 2026) and 13.5 km, an 8 km leisure walk and the 6 km Gessi Dogs, a guided walk with your dog.
For children up to 15 there is the Gessi Kids, on the inner ring of the racecourse. The organiser is the UISP Forlì-Cesena territorial committee, with the patronage of the Municipality of Cesena.

Rules and requirements
Competitive race
- start at 9:30, time limit at 11:30;
- a competitive medical certificate is compulsory;
- fee: €15 with pre-registration by 12:00 on Thursday 29 October, €20 on Sunday morning until 9:00;
- race pack with technical gadget for the first 400 entrants.
Non-competitive runs and walks
- staggered start until 9:30, open to non-members too;
- finish by 12:00 for the 8 and 13.5 km, by 13:00 for the 31 km;
- contribution: €8 for the 31 km with bib and race pack, €5 with race pack, €3 with a food product (Sunday only);
- Gessi Dogs: €5 per dog, group start at 9:30.
