The race
The HCA Marathon in Odense, the city of Hans Christian Andersen, reaches its 27th edition on Sunday 26 September 2027: run since 2000, it turns the city into a big running festival. Alongside the marathon there is a half marathon, and the youngest run the 4.2 km MiniMarathon.
The race is part of the Den Fynske Udfordring series, with a gold bib for those who run all three events. Prices rise over time: DKK 675 until 4 January 2027, then DKK 775; bibs are collected at the sports expo in Odense Idrætspark.
