The race
The Maratonina Città di Busto Arsizio, organised by A.S.D. Atletica San Marco, celebrates its 33rd edition on Sunday 8 November 2026. The competitive half marathon starts at 9:30 from Viale Cadorna and finishes in Via Ariosto, on an entirely flat, FIDAL-certified city circuit through the town's best-known places.
Alongside it there is a non-competitive 21 km, starting right after, and the non-competitive 9.9K B.A. RuN at 9:00, followed by a family run of about 4 km. Half marathon fees range from 29 to 36 euros including a winter technical shirt for the first 1,000 entrants, then 20 euros without the shirt; the 9.9 km costs 12 euros.
There are pacers every five minutes up to two hours, changing rooms with showers, pre- and post-race massages and free parking near the start. This year the race works with the Italian Coeliac Association: a gluten-free finish refreshment can be requested when entering.
Course
The half marathon is run on an entirely flat, FIDAL-certified city circuit, starting in Viale Cadorna and finishing in Via Ariosto next to the PalaCastiglioni. The official website does not describe the route street by street but publishes course maps. The surface is asphalt; aid stations every 5 km and at the finish, with water and, from km 10, biscuits, fruit and supplements.
The non-competitive 21 km follows the same course and starts right after the competitive race. The non-competitive 9.9 km starts at 9:00, also from Viale Cadorna, and is flat too: its last 4 km wind through the streets of the town centre. The family run of about 4 km starts right after the 9.9 km.
