The race
La Mezza del Borgo makes its debut on Sunday 8 November 2026 in Testa dell'Acqua, a hamlet in the Iblei mountains within the municipality of Noto, organised by ASD Palombella Running with the town council's patronage. It is a half marathon in the FIDAL national calendar and is already part of the 2nd Grand Prix Mezze Maratone Mare e Monti, the seven-race Sicilian series.
Alongside the half runs a 10.1 km ACSI race; both start at 9:30 from the Jolly Bar, where runners meet at 7:30. The course is a 5.28 km loop to be repeated, FIDAL-certified with gentle climbs, set in the hilly landscape around Noto. Fees are €22 for the half and €15 for the 10.1 km until 3 November, then €3 more.
The fee covers chip, aid and sponge stations, race pack, a themed shirt for those entering by 31 October, finisher medal and souvenir photo.
Course
Start and finish at the Jolly Bar in Testa dell'Acqua, a hill hamlet of Noto. The course is a FIDAL-certified 5.28 km road loop with gentle climbs, repeated to complete the 21.097 km of the half or the 10.1 km of the ACSI race. There are two aid stations on the loop.
The organisers have not published a map or street list. Time limit 3 hours.

Rules and requirements
- FIDAL membersMembers of an Italian athletics club (Italian Athletics Federation).
- RuncardFIDAL card for runners without a club: buy it online and pair it with a competitive athletics medical certificate.
- Sports promotion bodiesMembers of an Italian sports promotion body recognised by FIDAL, with a competitive medical certificate.
- International runnersMembers of a federation affiliated to World Athletics, or with a Runcard and a competitive medical certificate.
The half is open from age 18 to FIDAL members and, from age 20, to Runcard or Runcard EPS holders with a competitive medical certificate for athletics; members of foreign clubs recognised by World Athletics may also enter with a self-declaration. Fees until 3 November: €22 for the half, €15 for the 10.1 km; on 4 and 5 November €3 more, then entries close.
Entry by email to sicilia@evodata.it with the bank-transfer receipt and medical certificate. The fee includes bib, chip rental (to be returned), medical assistance with ambulance, aid and sponge stations, race pack, a shirt for entries by 31 October, medal and souvenir photo. Time limit 3 hours.
Fees are not refunded and bibs cannot be moved to another edition. Prizes for the first man and woman overall in each race and the top three in each category; no prize money.
