The race
The Reykjavik Spring Marathon takes place on Saturday 24 April 2027 and is one of the two annual races (with the autumn one) organised by the Icelandic Marathon Runners Association (Félag maraþonhlaupara). The start is in the Elliðaárdalur valley, at Rafstöðvarvegur 7, on the bank of the Elliðaá river.
The out-and-back course runs on almost flat asphalt paths through Fossvogur valley to the sea and the west of the city; the half (11:00) is one lap, the marathon (9:00) two. Drinks every 5 km and, at the finish, the traditional waffles with cream.
